ABSV, Berlin’s self-help organisation of the blind and visually impaired people
Roughly 20.000 people with a visual impairment live in Berlin, about 6.000 of them are totally blind. ABSV, founded in 1874, is the oldest self-help movement of visually impaired people in Germany. We have been able to help and encourage many people to accept their disability and keep on leading full lives.
